Frequently asked questions
How sync works, what is really protected, and the complete guide to the AI Assistant.
Everyday use
I use it on my phone and on my computer. Does the data follow?
Yes. The same account sees the same lists everywhere — in the Android app and on the web board at app.maujr.com.
With a list open, changes made on another device appear without closing and reopening it. If you are editing at that moment, your edit is not overwritten: the screen waits until you save.
Does it work without an Internet connection?
It does. You can create, edit and complete tasks offline — the changes are kept on the device and upload by themselves when the network is back.
The AI Assistant is the exception: it needs a connection, because the command is interpreted on the server.
Folders, tags, priorities — when do I use which?
Folders separate contexts that do not mix: work, home, one specific project. A list is in one folder at a time.
Tags cut across contexts: "urgent", "waiting for a reply", "shopping". A list can carry several.
Priorities and deadlines answer the question "what do I do next". They exist on the task and on the list.
Which files can I attach, and what is the limit?
Images (JPG, PNG) and documents (PDF, TXT, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX), up to 10 MB per file. Above that the upload is refused before it starts, with a notice on screen.
On images you can draw on top — mark a measurement, point at a detail — and the annotation is kept with the task.
What is focus mode?
You choose one or more lists, and focus mode gathers only the open tasks from those lists on one screen with a timer, without the rest of the app around it.
Privacy and security
How is my data protected in the cloud?
Connections use HTTPS/TLS, and the data is encrypted at rest on Google Cloud servers. Access is controlled by Firestore security rules: each document can only be read or written by the signed-in account it belongs to.
To be clear about the limits: this is not end-to-end encryption. Your lists are readable on the server side — that is what lets sync between devices, search and the AI Assistant work.
If you keep something that must never be readable by anyone but you under any circumstance, an end-to-end encrypted notes app is the right tool — not this one.
How do I hide confidential lists?
App lock: under Settings → Enable App Lock, a PIN or biometrics is asked for on opening. The PIN is stored encrypted in the device's own secure storage, never in the cloud.
Secret vault: it opens from the side menu, under Secret Folder. Lists you move there stop appearing on the home screen and in search, and access requires authentication.
In the browser, biometric authentication is not available — the vault uses the PIN.
What data is collected about how I use the app?
Under Settings → Privacy & Data Consent you control three things: sharing anonymous crash reports, usage statistics (which features get used, never the content of your lists), and anonymising your display name in cloud records. All of them can be switched off, and the first two are only collected after you say yes.
The full details are in the privacy policy.
Account and data
Which ways to sign in are there?
With your Google, Microsoft or GitHub account — without creating one more password. Or with e-mail and password, with a reset by e-mail should you forget it.
Can I take my data with me?
Under Settings → Backup & Restore you can export your lists, folders and tags to a JSON file and share it. Two things stay out, and they are worth knowing before you keep the copy: the Secret Folder is only included if you ask for it expressly, and attached files — photos and documents — do not travel inside the file: only the address that points to them does.
In the Android app you can also save directly to your Google Drive or OneDrive. The copy lives in your cloud account, in the space reserved for the app — it takes no space of ours and is not read by us. Saving a copy to the cloud is Premium; restoring a copy you already have and exporting to a file stay free.
Restoring replaces. When you restore, the current lists, folders and tags are deleted and replaced by the file's. It is not a merge of the two.
How do I delete my account and everything in it?
In the app, under Settings → Account Settings → Delete Account. Or on this deletion page, with the same account.
The request schedules the account for deletion in 30 days and signs you out on every device. During that time you can change your mind: sign in and choose "Keep my account". After the 30 days, the lists, folders, tags, attachments, shifts, profile and support messages are removed permanently and cannot be recovered.
Before you request. Export a backup if there is any chance you will need the data. Deleting the account does not cancel a Google Play subscription; cancel it in Google Play.
AI Assistant
Talking to the app
Write what you want in Portuguese or English. The assistant carries out the action — it does not just answer.
Where to find the assistant
The assistant is in four places, and it always knows where you are: the floating button on the main screen, inside a list, inside a folder, and the web board's console.
That context saves words: with the Shopping list open, "add milk" is enough — there is no need to repeat the list's name.
How to write a command
Say the action, then the target. "complete the coffee", "create list Trip". The natural order works; there is no syntax to memorise.
You do not need the exact name. A recognisable piece is enough: "cross off the report" finds "Deliver the quarterly report".
One request at a time. Combined commands ("complete X and delete Y") are read as one, and the second part is lost.
Check the result. The reply says what changed — "3 tasks completed in Market" — and is built from what was actually saved, not from what the model believes it did.

What the assistant does not do
So you do not waste time trying.
- Several requests in one sentenceEach message produces one action. Split it in two.
- UndoThere is no "undo the last command". Deletions are final — check the name first.
- Attach filesAttachments and drawings are done from the task's screen.
- Work offlineInterpretation happens on the server; without a network, use the normal controls.
- Read the secret vaultYou can move lists into the vault, but the protected content requires authentication on screen.
When it does not work
- "I could not find that task"The task is not in the open list. Open the right list, or say its name in the command.
- It answers instead of actingThe request was read as a question. Start with a verb: "complete…", "create…", "delete…".
- App verification errorAttestation with the server failed. Check the connection and try again; if it persists, contact support.
- Usage limit reachedToo many requests in a short time. Wait a minute.
About your data and the AI
The assistant runs on Gemini 2.5 Flash, through Firebase AI. To interpret a request, the text you write and the titles of the lists and tasks in context are sent for processing. Do not write in the assistant what you would not write in a list.
